One Dinner Away is a web-based social platform that facilitates the matching of individuals, based on shared interests and other criteria, for organized dinners or drinks. One Dinner Away does not guarantee any specific social, personal, or romantic outcomes resulting from participation in the Services. One Dinner Away acts solely as a facilitator and is not responsible for the conduct or interactions of users during or after events.
Access to and/or use of the One Dinner Away web-based platform confers the status of USER, who accepts, from such access and/or use, these terms of use. Users must be at least 18 years old, participate only as individuals, and provide accurate and truthful identity information. One Dinner Away reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate participation at its discretion and in accordance with applicable Romanian law. By using the platform, users confirm that they have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.
Users must create an account using a valid email address and a password. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activities that occur under their account.
One Dinner Away reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts in cases of misconduct, repeated no-shows, violation of these Terms and Conditions, or any behavior that undermines the safety, integrity, or proper functioning of the platform.
Users are responsible for providing accurate information during account creation, including their date of birth and gender. For reasons related to safety, fairness, and the proper functioning of the matching system, these details cannot be modified directly after registration. If a user needs to correct such information due to an error or exceptional circumstance, they may contact support, and requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
While One Dinner Away makes reasonable efforts to create balanced and compatible groupings, no guarantee is made regarding personal compatibility, chemistry, satisfaction, or the overall experience with other participants.
By using the Services, users acknowledge and accept that:
Dissatisfaction with the matching outcome or with other participants does not constitute grounds for a refund, except as expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions.
All bookings of services provided by One Dinner Away must be made exclusively through the platform.
Payments must be made in advance, in the currency of the country the user selects for the service.
Payments are processed via secure third-party payment providers, including Stripe and other supported payment methods if it will be the case. One Dinner Away is not liable for any failures, delays, or issues caused by the payment providers.
Users are prohibited from creating multiple reservations for the same time and location across different services to bypass promotion limits or gain unauthorized benefits.
One Dinner Away offers the following ticket options:
All tickets are non-transferable and may only be used by the account holder who purchased them. Tickets cannot be shared or transferred to other users.
Tickets have no expiration date. However, One Dinner Away reserves the right to modify ticket terms, introduce validity periods, or discontinue specific ticket types upon reasonable notice to users.
Cancellations are permitted up to 48 hours before the event. In the event of a timely cancellation, the user will receive a return of the ticket to their account rather than a monetary refund for the ticket or subscription fee. In exceptional cases where a monetary refund is granted by One Dinner Away, the refund will be processed within a reasonable timeframe, and the Platform reserves the right to deduct any non-refundable third-party processing fees (such as Stripe commissions) from the total amount.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event are considered 'Late Cancellations,' and failing to attend a confirmed event is considered a 'No-Show.' Both Late Cancellations and No-Shows are strictly non-refundable, and the used ticket will not be returned to the account. Furthermore, One Dinner Away reserves the right to suspend or permanently exclude users who accumulate multiple No-Shows, as this behavior disrupts the experience for other community members.
In accordance with applicable consumer protection laws, users have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 calendar days from the date of purchase, without giving any reason.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the user must notify One Dinner Away of their decision by email.
If the user expressly requests that the services begin before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period and later exercises the right of withdrawal within that period, the user shall be required to pay an amount proportional to the services already provided up to the time the withdrawal request is communicated.
The proportional amount will be calculated based on:
in relation to the total value and duration of the purchased ticket(s) or subscription.
If the Services have not been used at all during the withdrawal period, the user will receive a refund. One Dinner Away reserves the right to deduct non-refundable third-party transaction commissions (e.g., Stripe fees) from the total amount.
If the services have been partially used, a partial refund will be issued after deducting the proportional amount corresponding to the services already provided.
Refunds will be processed within a reasonable time using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.
The right of withdrawal does not replace the event cancellation policy described above. Once a specific event has taken place, or if the withdrawal period has expired, no right of withdrawal applies.
Tickets and subscriptions remain subject to their respective validity periods, non-transferability rules, and no-show policy, as described in these Terms and Conditions.
Locations are chosen exclusively by One Dinner Away and communicated approximately one day before the event. Food and beverages consumed during the event are not included in the service price and must be paid individually by each participant directly at the venue.
While One Dinner Away selects reputable venues, One Dinner Away is a facilitator and is not responsible for the food quality, service, or the management of allergies and dietary restrictions. Participants must communicate any specific dietary needs directly to the restaurant staff upon arrival.
One Dinner Away may create optional WhatsApp groups for users participating in events to encourage community engagement, networking, and information about different kinds of events that are not managed by One Dinner Away.
The WhatsApp groups will be managed by One Dinner Away team and the participation of the users in these groups is optional, and users may enter and leave the group at any time. While users may remain in the groups after their initial event, One Dinner Away reserves the right to periodically review group membership. Users who remain inactive or no longer use One Dinner Away services may be removed during these administrative reviews to ensure the quality and security of the community.
Users must behave respectfully in the WhatsApp groups. Offensive, inappropriate, or sexually explicit language, harassment, or other misconduct is strictly prohibited. One Dinner Away reserves the right to remove any user from the group for violations of these rules or for any behavior deemed inappropriate at its discretion.
One Dinner Away is not responsible for messages posted by users or for interactions between group members outside of the platform or events.
Users are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly during all One Dinner Away events. Harassment, discriminatory behavior, illegal activities, solicitation, or promotion of unauthorized products or services is strictly prohibited.
Violation of these rules may result in removal from the event, suspension or termination of the user's account, and notification to authorities if required by law. One Dinner Away reserves the right to take appropriate action to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.
Participation in One Dinner Away events is voluntary, and users are responsible for taking reasonable care of their own safety and belongings during events.

One Dinner Away makes reasonable efforts to select venues that are affordable and of good quality, based on available ratings and information. However, users acknowledge that One Dinner Away does not have contractual relationships with the venues and cannot guarantee the services, quality, or safety standards of third-party providers.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, One Dinner Away's liability for any damages or losses arising from participation in events is excluded.

Users acknowledge that refunds, credits, or rescheduling in such cases are handled according to One Dinner Away's discretion and applicable laws.
One Dinner Away processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Romanian data protection laws.
We collect and process data (such as contact details, personality questionnaires information, and booking history) specifically to provide and improve the services, facilitate matching of participants, and manage events.

One Dinner Away will occasionally update the app to fix bugs or add new features. We reserve the right to temporarily suspend access for scheduled updates. Users are encouraged to install the latest app updates to ensure optimal performance. One Dinner Away platform and user data are hosted on professional servers within the European Union. Technical support is available Monday through Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 (EET), excluding public holidays. Please contact us via email for assistance. One Dinner Away reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or other reasonable means. Continued use of the services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. In the event that these Terms are translated into other languages, the English version shall be the legally binding version in the event of any discrepancy.
